Rose fought Carla Esparza on April 15, 2015, for the Women s Strawweight Championship. Rose defeated Esparza via a technical knockout within less than three minutes of the Round One. Rose not only got the title, but also was named Fighter Of The Night. Rose was also able to make MMA history by winning this fight because she became the first woman to compete for a champion title in any organization of note. Namajunas was able to take home a number of other victories. She also defeated Joanna Jedrzejczyk two times, earning her Performance Of The Night awards from UFC.
